Patterns and repeats

Press K and drag out the repeat tile. Ghost copies appear all around it — that live preview is the whole game: if the ghosts look seamless, the pattern is seamless.

Grid repeats straight; half-drop staggers columns (the classic wallpaper look); brick staggers rows; mirror flips alternates. The drop offset slider snaps at the useful fractions.

Spray library icons straight into the tile, scatter shapes along paths, or vectorize a museum flower and repeat it. Anything overlapping the tile edge wraps automatically to the other side.

Export the tile as PNG or SVG for digital-paper packs, or print a full PDF sheet up to A0 — the format print-on-demand fabric and wallpaper services ask for. The free pattern course page goes deeper on the craft.
